Grasso's German Shepherds is a business that has been built on a lifelong passion for dogs, particularly German Shepherds. I was fortunate to grow up in a household that already had three dogs, and my journey into the world of German Shepherds began at a very young age. I believe that to truly understand and work with dogs, it is essential to grow up with and live alongside them. My introduction to the breed came in the form of a pup named Rocky, and my fascination with these animals only grew from there.

I had the good fortune of being introduced to Lieutenant Angelo Fiorini, head of the Bridgeport K-9 Unit, through my grandfather, who was an officer with the Bridgeport Police Department. Lieutenant Fiorini took me under his wing and taught me many valuable lessons about K-9 training. I was only seven years old at the time, but even then, it was clear that my interest in dog handling was more than just a hobby.

As I grew older, I continued to learn from various mentors and put my knowledge into practice. I achieved 2nd place in an AKC obedience trial with my second shepherd, Sheba, at the age of 11. This experience taught me that there were beneficial dog training methods being employed within both the K-9 and AKC environments, and I eagerly put this new combined knowledge to work.
