Our History

Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital was founded by Dr. Mark Gibson in 1990, with a passion for providing house-call service to pets in the Brooklyn, NY area. The original office was based in Dr. Gibson's home, where he saw a need for pet owners to have a veterinarian come to their homes to provide examinations, vaccinations, and treatment. In 1991, the practice expanded to its own building and moved to a state-of-the-art facility in Park Slope. Since then, we have dedicated ourselves to providing the highest level of care to our furry friends, with a focus on preventive medicine, client education, and exceptional customer service.
