Once Upon A Dog Walk is a premier dog walking and dog sitting service based in San Francisco. Our mission is to provide exceptional care for the urban dog owner who leads a busy lifestyle. We understand that your furry friends are important members of your family, and they deserve the best possible care when you're not able to be there for them. That's why we offer a range of services designed to meet their needs and keep them happy and healthy.
Our business is fully licensed and insured, and our team is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to our clients. We are committed to continuing education and stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices. Our team members are certified in Canine Behavioral Academy I & II, Canine First Aid & CPR, and are licensed with the city of San Francisco and permitted with the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and National Park Service. We are also proud to be on the list of SFACC approved dog walkers.
In addition to our professional qualifications, we are passionate about animals and have extensive experience volunteering with rescues. We have evaluated dogs for Grateful Dogs Rescue, fostered at-risk dogs with Grateful Dogs Rescue, and worked with Give A Dog A Bone, a shelter enrichment program. Our team members have also volunteered at the SF Animal Care & Control, walking adoptable dogs, photographing and taking videos of adoptable dogs for online postings, fostering underage puppies, and working with the shelter enrichment program.
Services Offered
At Once Upon A Dog Walk, we offer a range of services designed to meet the needs of your furry friends. Our services include:
- Group Walks: Our group walks are the perfect way for your dog to get the exercise and socialization they need. We offer monthly rates for 5 days/week, 4 days/week, 3 days/week, and 2 days/week. Your dog will be out of the house for 2 to 4 hours, depending on pickup/dropoff locations. We work on recall and spend 90-120 minutes on the ground. We match dogs in size and compatibility in their groups and welcome puppies! All dogs must be current on their vaccinations and on flea preventatives. Rain or shine, we provide delicious treats and ice-cold water during the romps. Photos of your dogs on their walks will be posted on Facebook or texted to owners during the week.
- Dog Sitting: We offer dog sitting services for both current walking clients and drop-in clients. For current walking clients, the rate is $100, and for drop-in clients, the rate is $125. Your dogs will receive a minimum of one group outing and several walks and potty breaks each day. Dogs will be left alone no more than 3 hours/day.
