At City Pet Care, we are dedicated to providing a unique and personalized service for your furry friends. Founded by Matthew Wall in 2003, our mission is to provide a trustworthy and reliable pet care service that caters to the specific needs of every pet and their owner.

Our Story

Matthew Wall, the founder of City Pet Care, has a lifelong passion for animals and a entrepreneurial spirit forged by his eight years of experience working for Starbucks Coffee Company. A lifelong resident of Pierce County, Matt values the importance of pets in people's lives. He grew up in a family of animal lovers and, from a young age, had many pets including cats and dogs. Matt also competed for many years with Quarter Horses at horse shows along the west coast. These endeavors taught him the value of patience, the virtue and reward of hard work, and the importance of responsibility.

Our Services

At City Pet Care, we offer a range of services designed to cater to the unique needs of your pet. From dog walking to pet sitting, we understand that every pet is different and requires a personalized approach. Our services include:

• Dog Walking: We'll take your dog for a walk around your neighborhood, providing exercise and fresh air while you're away.
• Pet Sitting: Our pet sitters will provide your pet with companionship, exercise, and attention in the comfort of your own home.
• Household Details: We'll take care of your household duties, including bringing in your mail, packages, and newspaper, as well as watering your plants and garden.

Consultation

Before we begin serving you, we'll schedule an initial in-home consultation to discuss your specific needs and preferences. During this consultation, we'll chat about your pet's routine, including feeding instructions, exercise needs, health history, and medication information. We'll also ask for emergency and veterinary contact information, home alarm details, and discuss any special requests you may have while you're away from home.

Service Area

We provide our full range of services in the City of Fircrest and the surrounding neighborhoods. Our service area includes Downtown, Central, North Tacoma, and Lincoln District neighborhoods (Zip Codes: 98402, 98403, 98405, 98406, 98407, 98418, and 98465) and the Fircrest portion of 98466. Please note that parking fees may apply in certain neighborhoods.

Rates and Discounts

Our rates are designed to provide you with convenience and flexibility. We offer discounts for seniors (65 and older) and active duty military families. Our rates include:

• Weekday Dog Walking: $23 for one dog, $2 for each additional dog
• Pet Sitting: $23 for one pet, $2 for each additional dog, $2 for each additional cat
• Errand Services: $23 per 30 minutes, $23 minimum charge
• Holidays: A $20 surcharge applies to one visit on holidays
• Keys: A $10 charge will be added for key pick up and/or drop off for house keys not kept on file with City Pet Care
