Our Story
The Art of Dog was founded by Cynthia Evans and Michelle Sanchez, two passionate dog lovers who understand the importance of providing a safe and fun environment for small dogs. Cynthia, a former casino gaming industry professional, discovered her passion for dog walking while volunteering at the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter. Michelle, a culinary expert, began learning about canine behavior and training after her own dog, Diego, displayed behavioral issues.
Together, Cynthia and Michelle have developed a approach to dog walking that focuses on providing a stimulating and relaxing experience for small dogs. They use positive reinforcement methods, trained in canine behavior, pack management, safety, and fight protocols, as well as pet CPR and first aid. They are members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and certified in pet first aid and CPR.

Our small dog walking service is designed for small dogs under 25 lbs. We take small groups of dogs on stimulating off-leash hikes in beautiful San Francisco locations. Our professional dog walkers are certified in canine behavior, pack management, safety, and fight protocols, and are insured and bonded for your peace of mind.
Small Dog Daycare
Our small dog daycare service provides a structured play and activity environment in a beautiful, exclusive home setting. Our small dog specialists are experienced in caring for small dogs and providing a safe and fun environment.
