Schilling's Northwest Law Dogs is a renowned dog training facility located in Veneta, Oregon, just 17 miles west of Eugene. Founded by the internationally respected dog trainer, Ken Schilling, the facility has been dedicated to transforming the lives of dogs and their owners for over three decades.
Ken Schilling began his journey into dog training in 1973 when he joined the U.S. Military. With a passion for dogs and a desire to serve his country, Ken was drawn to the military's dog training program, where he learned to train dogs for various roles, from sniffing out explosives to search and rescue missions. After his military service, Ken continued to hone his craft, working for the U.S. Customs service in South Texas, where he specialized in drug interdiction along the U.S. border.
In 1995, Ken and his wife, Lynn, established Schilling's Northwest Law Dogs in Oregon. Since then, Ken has been working with dogs and their owners from all walks of life, helping them develop a better relationship and a more enjoyable life together. Known for his unique "Schilling's Balanced Method, " Ken focuses on balance rather than dominance in dog training.
