At Passage East, we are a full-service dog boarding, cat boarding, dog grooming, and doggy daycare center where your pets can have fun, make friends, look their best, and feel right at home when life takes you elsewhere. Our family-owned business has been serving the pet-loving community in Fairfield County for nearly 25 years.

Our Story

It all began in 1999, when Joe and Laura Kaddis, passionate animal lovers and volunteers at local shelters, started taking in and rehabilitating abused dogs. Over the years, they cared for many furry friends, earning the nickname "the last resort couple." In 1999, Joe and Laura acquired a kennel in Wilton, recognizing it as the perfect opportunity to expand their rescue efforts. They envisioned a canine retreat where pets could enjoy outdoor spaces to "let dogs be dogs" and where the couple could continue helping dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. Today, Passage East is proud to offer a range of pet care services, including dog boarding, professional grooming, daycare, and cat boarding.

• Dog Grooming: Our Salon is available by appointment for baths, haircuts, de-shedding services, nail trims, and more. Our stylists are experienced in making your furry friend look and feel their best, from Shih Tzus to St. Bernards.
• Doggy Daycare: Our daycare is more than just a place to leave your dog when you can't be home. It's an opportunity for socialization, exercise, and fun. Our daycare is a valuable experience for your dog to meet other friendly pups, practice their social manners, enjoy fresh air and sunshine, and stay physically and mentally active.
• Dog Boarding: Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, your dog deserves a good time. Our overnight visits allow your dog to have fun with friends, add Salon services, and enjoy extra playtime with experienced, caring humans.
• Cat Boarding: Our Cat Cottage is the perfect place for your feline friend to rest, relax, and play. Our secure outdoor catio provides a unique and cozy boarding experience for your special kitty pal.
