Happy Tails Playhouse

Happy Tails Playhouse is a family-oriented boarding kennel in a quiet country setting. Our love for dogs brought us to Happy Tails Playhouse, and we wanted a place to live and work that was beautiful and rewarding. Our boarding kennel has been in business for 40 years, and we are the third owners, moving to Georgia from Connecticut in 2017 along with our family.

We have a team of dedicated staff who have years of experience working with dogs. Some of us have worked in breeding and showing dogs, while others have worked with rescue dogs. Together, we work to make the Happy Tails experience a good one for pets and owners. We get to know each dog and cat and try to give them what they need to make their stay with us the best it can be. We strive to live by our motto "Happy Tails Playhouse.where your pets are family."

Our staff includes Christy Champagne, who has worked at Happy Tails for many years and is the ever-smiling force on the small dog side on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Christy also helps out with the phones and bookings. She is a retired animal control officer with a huge passion for animals and is also on the Board of Directors of the Madison, Oglethorpe Animal Shelter. Christy's knowledge and sunny personality are huge assets to Happy Tails.

Rachel Tucker has been part of the Happy Tails family since 2019, working with both the large and small dogs. Rachel works on a horse farm caring for horses when she is not at Happy Tails Playhouse. Rachel's happy demeanor makes all our guests love her, and she is always willing to go the extra mile to make our guests happy and comfortable.

Adam Gray is a new addition to our team, working mainly on the big dog side. Adam's love for animals makes him a great addition to the Happy Tails Family. Adam also does landscaping and kennel maintenance when he is not working at the kennel, taking care of the pups.

Amanda Barnett has been working at Happy Tails since 2022, working with both the large and small dogs. Mandy worked as a vet tech before coming to Happy Tails. She loves the freedom to spend quality time playing and loving on our guests. We appreciate her medical knowledge and passion for animals. Mandy makes our guests excited to come back!

Our owner, Howard Satinsky, works on the little dog side on Monday and Saturday, where he delights in spending time with the dogs. Howard answers phones and takes bookings as well as handling the financial and ground work. He loves life at Happy Tails Playhouse!

Deb Rolfe, also an owner, works at the kennel most days. She loves getting to know the dogs and cats and gives them extra special attention and treats. Deb handles the phones and takes bookings, ensuring that all our guests receive the best care possible.

Our Services

At Happy Tails Playhouse, we offer a variety of services for your pets. Our boarding and training kennel for dogs and cattery for felines provide a hands-on, loving environment where your pets will be treated like family. Our animal-loving caregivers will give your pets the care and attention they deserve and need. Your pet's well-being is our main priority.

Our kennel is set in a quiet country location that is perfect for your pet's staycation. Whether you're going on vacation or need to be away from home for a few days, we provide a safe and comfortable environment for your pets.

We also offer day care for your pets, providing them with a fun and engaging environment to spend the day. Our staff will ensure that your pets receive the exercise and playtime they need, keeping them happy and healthy.

Boarding Fees

We offer competitive boarding fees for both dogs and cats. For dogs, our boarding fees are $28 per day for all dogs, with discounts for multiple dogs sharing a kennel. For cats, our boarding fees are $24 per day, with discounts for multiple cats sharing a condo.
