Our Story
Our journey began when our founder, Liz Freitag, rescued her Basenji Mix, Job, from the concrete jungle of Chicago. After moving to Erie, Job discovered the joy of Scott Park and the wonderful people who loved dogs. However, Liz struggled to find a doggie daycare facility, leading her to open her own in 2011. And so, Peninsula Pups was born.
Since then, we have grown into Erie's largest and most experienced doggie daycare, with a mission to provide peace of mind to our canine parents and give back to our furry friends who bring us so much joy.
Our Values
We believe that every dog deserves a second home, where they can be cared for and loved unconditionally. Our staff of trained Handlers are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of each dog, whether they're socializing with their pack or getting some exercise.
Our facilities are designed with your dog's comfort and safety in mind. With over 6,000 square feet of air-conditioned play space, our rubberized flooring provides a comfortable and hygienic surface for your dog to play on. We also have separate areas by temperament and size to ensure each dog has a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
