Our Mission

Our mission is to provide top-quality, compassionate animal care at a reasonable value. We strive to have open, honest communication with our clients and work together to determine the best approach to veterinary needs. We regularly consult with other health care professionals and specialists to offer the best treatment and surgical options for all animal health care problems.

Our Services

We understand that each pet is unique and requires individualized care. That's why we offer a wide range of services, including:

Anesthesia

Anesthesia is used for many procedures in veterinary medicine. Our experienced team checks every parameter possible to safely anesthetize our patients. A good physical exam and pre-anesthetic bloodwork are always recommended.

Boarding

We offer state-of-the-art boarding facilities for your 4-legged family members. Our larger patients enjoy 816 and 46 raised inside runs, while smaller pets relax in stainless steel kennels. Pets are walked and allowed to play multiple times throughout the day. Even our feline friends have their own quiet and comfortable room.

Cytology (Skin & Ear)

Skin cytology can offer great insight into a patient's condition. Ear cytologies are useful in diagnosing bacterial and fungal infections, as well as Ear Mites/other parasites.

Dentistry

Our ultrasonic scaling removes plaque and tarter from the enamel of the tooth. We also check for and prevent gum disease before it becomes painful for pets. Finalizing with a good polishing to leave your pet's teeth looking pearly white!

Exam (Puppy/Adult/Geriatric)

Physical exams are key to good veterinary medicine. From the beginning to end of a patient's life, a good physical exam is always recommended. This is when members of our healthcare team examine your pet from head to tail, checking for any abnormalities and listening to their heart and lungs for any alterations.

Grooming

Our talented groomer is available to work with you Monday-Friday. Schedule an appointment by calling 205-326-8080 to give your pet the pampering they deserve.

Health Certificates

Before traveling with your pet, it's essential to ensure you have the required document. A health certificate is most commonly recommended. Our veterinarians are certified to fill out a certificate for both national and international travel.

Laboratory Procedures (Bloodwork & Urinalysis)

Bloodwork on pets allows us to see how various organs are functioning. Urinalysis is another means for us to determine kidney function, diabetes, and/or monitor for a urinary tract infection and other conditions.

Limited Holistic Treatments

Holistic medicine is becoming more accepted and is growing in veterinary medicine. Our veterinarians can help with some needs and are always striving to learn more about holistic medicine by attending conferences and labs offered on the subject.

Microchipping

Microchipping is very important for patients. It allows pets to always be identified and allows owners to be reunited with their lost pets.

Nutritional Counseling

Our knowledgeable staff is happy to discuss nutritional needs with you and provide personalized recommendations.

On-line Pharmacy (Vetsource)

We partner with VetSource to bring convenience and quality pharmaceuticals right to your doorstep.

Parasitic Exams

Our experienced team uses parasitic exams to diagnose and treat external and internal parasites.

Radiology (Digital)

We use digital radiology to produce high-quality images of your pet's internal organs and soft tissues.
