Service Experience
Pet City Houston's customer service seems to be a mixed bag. While some reviewers have had positive experiences, others have reported issues with staff knowledge and friendliness. Uriel Vera Labastida waited for almost 30 minutes to see a dog and was consistently ignored, leading him to leave without seeing the puppy. Conversely, Brayden Clermont has had a great experience with staff helping him choose the right mice for his ball python and providing him with advice on caring for his pet. Janice Taylor, Karneisha House, Lashonda Taylor, and Joseph A. all had positive experiences with staff being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Pricing and Product Quality
Pricing issues have been reported by several reviewers. Karneisha House was overcharged for her dog food, and the manager on duty refused to honor the correct price. On the other hand, John Niner mentioned that the owner John immediately apologized and corrected the issue when he saw the review. Brayden Clermont has had no issues with the quality or freshness of the mice he has purchased for his ball python.
Animal Health and Condition
Some reviewers have reported concerns about animal health and condition. Kieana Chargois mentioned that the place smells terrible and animals walk around in their feces, but she chose to get a puppy anyway because of his happy and healthy appearance. Brayden Clermont mentioned that the birds, fish, dogs, and small rodents looked healthy and didn't smell at all, despite what some other reviews might say.
