Our Story
Remington Pet Ranch is more than just a pet resort - it's a labor of love. Founded by Dr. Linzi Newth, a passionate veterinarian, our story began with a chance encounter with an elderly woman named MaryAnn and her precious dog, Ginger. The diagnosis of liver failure led to a heart-wrenching goodbye, but it also sparked an idea. Dr. Newth founded GingerCare, a non-profit organization dedicated to placing shelter pets in the homes of independent living senior citizens.
To sustain GingerCare, Dr. Newth designed Remington Pet Ranch, a business that would allow her to use her veterinary experience and passion for animals to provide the safest and best quality daycare and overnight lodging in the area. Today, we are proud to be a part of the South Austin community, serving pet owners who seek only the best for their furry friends.
