Keeping Pets Happy and Healthy, One Paw at a Time!
The Southeast Area Animal Control Authority (SEAACA) is a leading animal welfare organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our communities. Since its inception, SEAACA has been a vital resource for lost and abandoned animals, providing shelter, medical care, and adoption services.
Our Mission
SEAACA's mission is to promote responsible pet ownership, protect animals from cruelty and abuse, and provide compassionate care for all animals in our custody. We strive to be a proactive force in our community by addressing issues related to animal welfare through education, outreach, and innovative programs.
Our Services
SEAACA provides a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the needs of both animals and people. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that every animal in our care receives the highest level of attention and support.
- Animal Sheltering: We offer a safe and comfortable haven for lost, abandoned, and surrendered animals. Our spacious kennels and cattery provide ample space for animals to rest, play, and socialize. We also offer specialized care for senior animals, puppies, and kittens.
- Adoption Services: SEAACA is committed to finding loving forever homes for all adoptable animals. We carefully screen potential adopters to ensure that each animal goes to a suitable and caring home. Our adoption process includes a meet-and-greet with the animal and a comprehensive application review. We also offer adoption counseling and support to help new pet owners transition smoothly.
- Field Services and Rescues: Our field officers respond to calls related to animal cruelty, neglect, and public safety concerns. They also provide assistance with lost and found pets and educate the public about responsible pet ownership.
- Wildlife Rescue and Education: SEAACA is actively involved in rescuing and rehabilitating native wildlife. We work closely with licensed wildlife rehabilitators to provide expert care for injured and orphaned animals. Our educational programs raise awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation.
- Humane Education: SEAACA believes that education is key to creating a more compassionate world for animals. We offer a variety of educational programs for schools, community groups, and individuals on topics such as responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, and wildlife conservation.
- Spay/Neuter Services: SEAACA provides affordable spay and neuter services to help control the pet population and reduce the number of animals entering shelters. We believe that spaying and neutering is essential for the health and well-being of animals.
- Licensing Services: SEAACA is responsible for issuing dog licenses in our service area. Dog licenses help reunite lost dogs with their owners and provide a source of funding for animal welfare programs.
- Veterinary Clinic Services: Our on-site veterinary clinic provides a range of medical services for both shelter animals and the community. We offer vaccinations, preventative care, dental care, and treatment for illnesses and injuries.
- Volunteer Opportunities: SEAACA relies on the generosity of volunteers to support our mission. Our volunteers play a vital role in providing care to animals, assisting with adoption events, supporting educational programs, and helping with administrative tasks.
Making a Difference
SEAACA is deeply committed to improving the lives of animals in our communities. By promoting responsible pet ownership, providing compassionate care for animals in need, and advocating for animal welfare, we strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of the animals we serve.
