Our History

Our clinic was founded by Dr. Wesley "Wes" Lickfeldt in 1949, initially serving both large and small animals. Over the years, our practice grew to focus exclusively on providing veterinary care to dogs and cats. Dr. Emery Engers, Medical Director

Dr. Engers is a lifelong Michigan resident who grew up on a small horse farm outside of Ann Arbor. She earned her BA in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College in 2003 and her DVM from Michigan State University in 2007. Dr. Engers has spent the last 10 years in companion animal practice, advancing her clinical skills and developing her passion for Fear-Free veterinary care.
