Union Mills

Here at Union Mills Feed Store, we are proud to have been a part of the community since 1877. Founded by Gabriel Johnson Trullinger, our business has been family-owned and operated for generations. We specialize in livestock feed, equine hay, grains, and pet supplies, offering our warm, friendly service and advice for the feeding and care of your animals.

Our History

Our story began with Daniel Trullinger and his wife Elizabeth, who moved their ten children to the Oregon Territory in 1848 from Iowa along the Oregon Trail. Their son, Gabriel Johnson Trullinger, settled down and married Sarah Glover, receiving 640 acres of land in Mulino in 1852. Gabriel built a small lumber mill to make rough-cut timber, later adding water power in 1877, steel rollers, and manufacturing feed. Throughout its history, Union Mills has produced lumber, flour, dried hops, carded wool, and manufactured feed.

Our Mill

Today, Union Mills is operated by the seventh generation of the Trullinger family. We manufacture on-site our own "UM" brand of feed and carry a variety of other feed products. Our feeds are made and bagged fresh daily, using the best ingredients sourced locally. We offer a wide range of feeds for different animals, including pigs, cattle, dairy goats, sheep, rabbits, alpacas, horses, and poultry.

Our Store

Our store is equipped with pet foods and supplies, everything you need to keep your animals healthy and happy. We have a variety of hays, including alfalfa, grass, orchard, and blended hays, as well as straw, bedding pellets, and wood pellets to keep you warm. We also carry new products all the time and are here to deliver the best customer service.

Our Services

We offer custom orders of any kind and will do our best to get you what you need. We carry pasture seed, fertilizer, and chemicals for your farming needs. Our friendly staff is always available to provide advice and assistance for the feeding and care of your animals.
