At American Canine Institute & Kennels, we pride ourselves on being a one-stop-shop for all your dog-related needs. From training to breeding, boarding, and protection, we offer a wide range of services to cater to your furry friend's every need.

Training

At A.C.I., we believe that every dog deserves to be trained, regardless of their breed or size. Our training programs are designed to cater to dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. We offer a variety of training programs, including Puppy Kindergarten, Obedience, Agility, and Personal Protection. Our trainers use a motivational praise and correction balance method, and we do not use food or clickers in our training programs. Whether you're a seasoned dog owner or a first-time pet parent, our training programs are designed to help you and your furry friend build a strong bond and improve your communication.

Our training classes are group and private, and we also offer board and train programs where your dog stays with us for a working vacation and receives personalized training. We also offer behavior modification programs to resolve behavioral problems caused by interactions between your pet and their environment.

Boarding

Our dog resort is designed from the ground up to provide creature comforts for our canine and feline friends. We accept boarders for day care, overnight, and long-term stays. We also offer a board and train program for dogs that have active schedules or owners who prefer not to board them. For those who prefer not to drive to our resort, we offer a bonded and insured pet taxi service providing door-to-door service from the San Francisco Bay Area.

Breeding

At A.C.I., we have a breeding program focused on large-boned, great temperament, and a gentle disposition. Our German Shepherds are from champion German and US pedigrees. You can find more information on our breeding program, including pictures of our companions and puppies, on our website.

Proteam

Our team of experts includes Robert (Bob) Vance, the founder and owner of American Canine Institute & Kennels, who has been training since 1959. Our team also includes Marian Stevenson, Steve Stokes, Eugene (Gene) Cunningham, Ray Bell, and Alan Levens, all of whom bring their unique skills and expertise to the table. From training and breeding to boarding and protection, our team is dedicated to providing top-notch services to our clients.
