Our History

Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital has been a cherished pillar of the community since its doors opened in November of 1966. Dr. William Mullan, a graduate of Pennsylvania State University's esteemed College of Veterinary Medicine, founded the hospital with a vision of providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care in a warm and welcoming environment. This dedication to excellence has remained at the heart of Warren Woods ever since.

Dr. Mullan's commitment to his patients extended beyond simple treatment. He also served as president for both the Macomb Veterinary Association and the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, demonstrating his unwavering passion for the profession and his dedication to advancing veterinary standards. His impact on the community reached beyond his veterinary practice; he contributed valuable service to the veterinary medicine licensing board for nine years, shaping regulations and ensuring the highest quality care for animals across the region.

Dr. Leroy, a visionary in his own right, joined Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital as a partner alongside Dr. Mullan in March, adding his expertise and commitment to the already strong foundation. Together, they continued to build a practice that centered around personalized care, building trusting relationships with both pets and their owners. Years later, Warren Woods remains a testament to their enduring legacy, continuing to serve the community with the same dedication and love for animals that first sparked its creation.
