Dayton Kennel Club

The Dayton Kennel Club is a member of the American Kennel Club and was incorporated on April 22, 1938. Our mission is to promote purebred dogs through responsible breeding practices, provide educational opportunities for members and the community, encouraging responsible pet ownership, and support and cooperate with organizations in the care and relief of stray dogs.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to dog owners and enthusiasts, including breeder referrals to help connect prospective purebred puppy owners with responsible breeders. We also provide information on rescue organizations, spay/neuter issues, and other concerns about pet ownership. Additionally, we host two all-breed shows a year, as well as a puppy match, and provide educational opportunities for members and the community.

Meetings and Events

Our club meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from September through May, excluding November. Meeting locations are announced each month, and we encourage all dog enthusiasts to join us and learn more about our organization. We also invite guest speakers to share their expertise and knowledge on various topics related to dogs.

Joining the Dayton Kennel Club is an excellent way to meet like-minded people who share your passion for dogs. You do not need to currently own a purebred dog to join DKC, just be interested in them. Our club is open to anyone with an interest in dogs, and we encourage owning, training, and exhibiting purebred dogs.
